Join WAFB and Joubert Law Firm as we honor our veterans and celebrate the American Spirit by giving away 3'x5' American Flags. Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11th, at Joubert Law Firm off Quail Run Drive, we will give away free flags to the first 500 people. We will also collect used flags, and members of the local VFW and Boy Scouts will give those flags the proper retirement services

Almost all suits for personal injury damages or wrongful death must be filed within one (1) year of the date of the occurrence. The deadline can be extended in some cases involving injured children and in worker’s compensation cases. However, you should never wait until the end of the time limit in which to file a claim or lawsuit as evidence gets stale and your testimony regarding the seriousness of the injury becomes less convincing. In addition, the defendant, whom your lawyer must correctly identify and serve with the lawsuit, may disappear. With the exception of some insurance policies purchased by you, you are not obligated to give a recorded statement. However, if you give a recorded statement, it may be used against you later. If you chose to give a recorded statement, be sure to ask for a copy of the transcript. However, it is our recommendation that you do not give any statements to an insurance adjuster, including your own insurance company, without legal representation.

Not only will you receive the highest quality care and the credibility of your claim will be strengthened, but the opinions of the doctors will influence, in large part, the value of your claim. Comply fully with all of your doctors’ instructions. If you fail to do so, the defendants can request the court to instruct the jury to reduce your damages. Never miss a doctor’s appointment. After each visit or no show, the doctor or therapist makes a written record that later will be used as evidence in your case.
